Parihaka

This week, I'm learning to infer. For this weeks reading my class did digital Parihaka Feathers on google drawings.
I enjoyed choosing a font and colouring it.
I found it tricky to find a font that I liked.

Next Time I would add a video which I didn't get to do because we had another teacher.

All Saints Day!

For the past few days, I've been learning about All Saints Day. All Saints Day is a day where you celebrate All of the Saints.

I enjoyed colouring all of the things on the slide.

I found it challenging to colour the background because I was indecisive.

Frida Kahlo Art

For the past 3 weeks, I've been doing a painting of Frida Kahlo.
I enjoyed painting Frida Kahlo and her juicy lips!
I found it challenging to attempt to do light direction but in the end I ended up not succeeding.
Next time I would try to use light direction.

Deep Ark 6 (Part 1)

For the past 3 days, I've been learning how to infer.
I enjoyed writing 2 answer to the 2 questions.
I found it difficult to copy and paste the question from a different slide.
Next time I would work more efficiently.

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!!!

This week, my class has been doing a Zombie Apocalypse we had to survive by finding water, food and supplies.

I enjoyed playing infected (infected is a game where one person is it and if someone gets tagged they are also in for tag.)
I found it tricky to find food.
Next time I would work faster.

September Reflection

Today, I did a reflection on September.
If you don't know, my class does a reflection once in a few months. (I think its at the end of every term)
I enjoyed filling out the speeches because it was easy.

Social Justice Week 2021

This week, I've been learning to identify the characters and / or authors point of view.
I enjoyed doing the Beatitudes slides because they're colourful.
I found it challenging to corporate with my group.

Today, I was learning to 1 to 10 times tables. It took me about 4 minutes to get these filled in.
I enjoyed filling the times tables because it challenged/tested my brain.
I found it challenging to do 7 times tables because i'm not too good with them.

Problem Solving Robot That Picks Up Rubbish

This week, i've been learning how to summarise across multiple texts.

So, for this week, i've been digitally making a problem solving robot on a Google Slide. My Robot's name is called "Lit Lit". My robot is designed to pick up rubbish and others. (It will tell you on the Slides).

I enjoyed thinking of ideas for my robot.

I found it challenging to think of the last question because I had a tiny mind blank but I did it!

Ruby Tui

This week, I was learning how to stuck to one topics, My first sentence is my topic sentence, I have added 2-3 supporting details and my last sentence is a concluding sentence.
My first paragraph is about Ruby Tui, Second paragraph is her childhood and the last little paragraph is a wow fact about her.
I enjoyed learning about her because it was interesting.
I found it very challenging to find childhood information.
Next time I would work faster!!

This week, I was learning how to summarise. Summarising is when you put a text into your own words.
I enjoyed making slides because it was the best part.
I found it challenging to find information because there wasn't much information.

Gamefroot Progress

Today, for Cybersmart I was coding and progressing in my Gamefroot. Click HERE to see my progress!

My Gamefroot!

For the past 3 weeks, I've been learning how to use a coding site call Gamefroot. (Check out my unfinished Gamefroot here!)
When I was making my game I felt like throwing my chromebook outside the window but I persevered!
I didn't get to finish my game because I didn't get enough time.
I enjoyed coding my sprite such as making the camera move with the sprite so it doesn't go out of my view.
I found it challenging to code my sprite because I still can't figure out why its keeps doing the wrong action!
Next time I will try and find out why it keeps doing the wrong action!

June Reflection!

Today, my class was doing a June Reflection. We do these so we can reflect on our learning and share it with others.
I enjoyed filling out the reading box because we learned about Matariki and Matariki is Maori which is my culture!
I found it challenging to fill out the maths box because I couldn't think of a maths problem I was learning to solve. We have been learning about Financial Literacy. You can read about it on one of my earlier blog posts.
Next time I would change the selfie because I bet I can take a better one!

Financial Literacy (Money)

For 2 days, My class has been learning about financial literacy.
Financial Literacy is when you learn how to earn money in different ways and how to save and budget it.
Early in the morning someone called Callum from ASB get wi$e was telling us about financial literacy.
I enjoyed researching the cost of what im saving up for.
I found it tricky to plan what i'm saving up for.
